Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
Prepare, review, and coordinate corporate income tax filings with external tax advisors.
Prepare and submit indirect tax returns (e.g. GST/VAT) accurately and on time.
Prepare withholding tax filings and ensure timely tax payments.
Support tax provisioning and tax reporting activities during month-end and year-end closing.
Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance across applicable jurisdictions.
Assist with tax reporting and statutory audit requirements.
Support transfer pricing documentation and other tax compliance initiatives.
Tax Advisory
Provide tax guidance on business transactions and operational matters.
Review commercial agreements to identify tax implications and potential risks.
Partner with finance and business teams to ensure tax considerations are incorporated into commercial decisions.
Tax Risk Management & Process Improvement
Support tax audits, enquiries, and correspondence with tax authorities and external advisors.
Monitor tax regulatory developments and assess potential business impact.
Recommend improvements to tax processes, controls, and documentation.
Support tax-related system enhancements and process automation initiatives.
Other Responsibilities
Participate in tax-related projects and process improvement initiatives.
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of relevant tax experience, preferably within a multinational corporation (MNC) environment.
Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, GST, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
Exposure to international or regional taxation will be an advantage.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or equivalent) is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
