Technician Specialist (Hose Fabrication & Operations)

Responsibilities

· Select, verify, and fabricate hoses, fittings, and ferrules using precise cutting, skiving, and crimping techniques based on job orders.

· Read and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and job sheets; measure dimensions and tolerances accurately using calipers and measuring tapes.

· Safely operate and calibrate workshop equipment (crimping machines, cutters, compressors) and perform routine tool and machine checks.

· Inspect finished assemblies for structural defects or crimp errors, and perform standard hydrostatic or pneumatic pressure tests.

· Record daily production data, dimensions, and pressure test results to maintain complete parts and material traceability.

· Adhere strictly to safety standards (PPE, OHSMS, and QMS), maintain clean workshop areas, and support general warehouse duties like loading, picking, and packing when needed.

Job Requirements

· Minimum Secondary School education or equivalent.

· At least 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial hose fabrication, hydraulic assembly, or a similar production/workshop environment.

· Proven capability to operate heavy-duty cutting and crimping machines, read technical layout drawings, and utilize precision calipers.

· Able to handle heavy warehouse components and comfortably manage manual workshop tools.

· In-depth familiarity with hydraulic systems and standard hydraulic components.

· Familiarity with international pressure testing standards and quality verification methodologies.

· Basic mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills for workshop machinery.
