Network Engineer - Cloud Environment (Permanent) - #1166638

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support and deployment services for customers' cloud infrastructure and environments.

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues across cloud-scale and backbone network infrastructures.

• Support and maintain Software-Defined Networking (SDN) services and cloud networking solutions, including Azure Front Door (AFD), Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) protection, Domain Name System (DNS), ExpressRoute, and related services.

• Participate in standby and on-call rotations to provide after-hours operational support when required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in large-scale data centre environments for the Senior Engineer position.

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in large-scale data centre environments for the Lead position.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and business functions.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and proven experience managing or leading technical teams will be advantageous for the Lead role.

Technical Skills:

Programming & Scripting

• Proficiency in Kusto, Java, Python, and Perl.

• Operating Systems: Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based operating systems.

• Cloud & Network Technologies: Experience with virtual networking technologies, including SDN, Virtual Networks (VNet), DNS, ExpressRoute, Traffic Manager, and Load Balancers.

• Data Formats: Familiarity with machine-readable data formats such as JSON and XML.

• Certifications: Relevant networking certifications such as CCNP or JNCIP is a plus.

• Network Automation & Security: Practical experience in network automation, infrastructure orchestration, and network security operations.
