Senior Logistics Engineer, Operations - #1166421

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Logistics Engineer, Operations to join our team at Capital Human Resource Management Pte. Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the East Region. As Senior Logistics Engineer, Operations, you will be instrumental in optimising our warehouse and distribution operations, driving efficiency improvements and ensuring seamless logistics execution across our facilities. This role carries significant strategic importance, as you will be responsible for designing and implementing logistics solutions that directly impact our operational performance, cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our supply chain capabilities and maintain our competitive advantage in the warehousing, storage and distribution sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Design, develop and optimise warehouse layouts, storage systems and distribution networks to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs

2. Conduct process improvement initiatives across warehousing and logistics operations, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions

3. Oversee the implementation of logistics technologies, systems and automation solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy

4. Manage and mentor logistics and warehouse operations teams, providing technical guidance and support

5. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse and distribution operations

6. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement

7. Collaborate with supply chain planning, procurement and customer service teams to ensure alignment of logistics operations with broader business objectives

8. Conduct root cause analysis on operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions

9. Plan and execute capacity planning initiatives to accommodate business growth and seasonal fluctuations

10. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations within warehouse and distribution facilities

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field

2. Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in logistics engineering, warehouse operations or supply chain management

3. Proven expertise in warehouse design, optimisation, process improvement and logistics network planning

4. Strong proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), transport management systems (TMS) and logistics software

5. Solid understanding of automation technologies, material handling systems and distribution best practices

6. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced operational environment

7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills

8. Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities

9. Experience with lean methodologies, Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement frameworks is highly desirable

10. Knowledge of inventory management, demand forecasting and supply chain optimisation is advantageous

11. Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g. APICS CSCP, APICS CPIM) is a plus
