About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior VAL Operator, Operations to join our team at Capital Human Resource Management Pte. Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the East Region. As a Senior VAL Operator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing value-added logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and compliance across our warehousing and distribution activities. This position is integral to our operational excellence and directly impacts our ability to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and manage value-added logistics (VAL) operations, including receiving, processing, storage and distribution of goods
Monitor operational performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Supervise and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to safety standards
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits to ensure data integrity
Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and delivery schedules
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to minimise errors and damages
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to resolve problems promptly
Liaise with customers, logistics partners and internal departments to ensure seamless operations
Prepare operational reports and documentation for management review
Train and mentor junior staff members to develop their skills and ensure consistent service delivery
What we're looking for
Minimum 5+ years of experience in value-added logistics operations or warehouse management within the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry
Proven track record of successfully managing operational teams and achieving performance targets
Strong knowledge of VAL processes, including labelling, kitting, repackaging and other value-added services
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
Knowledge of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Relevant certifications or qualifications in logistics, warehouse management or supply chain operations would be advantageous
Leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
