About the role
Capital Human Resource Management Pte. Ltd is seeking a Senior Business Support Specialist, Inventory to join our operations team in the East Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our inventory management and warehouse operations. As a Senior Business Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and providing strategic support to our warehouse and logistics operations. This role represents a key position within our warehousing and distribution division, directly contributing to the success of our supply chain and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking and recording of all stock movements
Monitor inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations and implement corrective actions to prevent stockouts or overstock situations
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements
Liaise with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to coordinate inventory planning and forecasting
Analyse warehouse performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management
Support the implementation and optimisation of warehouse management systems and inventory software
Develop and maintain inventory control procedures and documentation standards
Mentor and provide guidance to junior warehouse staff on inventory best practices
Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within inventory operations
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies in warehouse operations
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or related logistics functions
Proven track record of successfully managing inventory control systems and processes in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Strong proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software platforms
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Demonstrated experience in process improvement and optimisation within warehousing or distribution operations
Outstanding organisational and time management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience liaising across multiple departments and organisational levels
Ability to mentor and supervise junior staff members effectively
Knowledge of inventory cost management and financial impact of inventory decisions
Certification in inventory management, supply chain, or logistics would be advantageous
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in warehouse environments is desirable
