Responsibilities:
Plant Operations & Optimization
Supervise the daily operation and maintenance of waste-to-energy plants, wood crushing plants, recycling, and resource recovery facilities to ensure smooth operations.
Lead plant optimization projects, to improve yield, reduce process bottlenecks, and enhance operational efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and analyze operational processes to identify and resolve inefficiencies.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections across all company facilities in Singapore to ensure operational excellence and standardization.
Logistics & Maintenance Management
Direct and manage the logistics team and fleet controllers, to optimize waste collection and ensure a reliable and continuous supply of feedstock.
Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes for plant equipment and logistics vehicle fleet to maximize asset reliability and minimize downtime.
Regulatory Compliance, Safety & Quality Assurance
Liaise with government and statutory authorities—including NEA, LTA, MOM, and PUB—to manage regulatory, environmental, and licensing matters.
Collaborate closely with the Safety Officer to promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all operational and engineering activities comply with MOM guidelines and the WSH Act.
Manage and maintain ISO certifications, ensuring compliance with company SOPs and quality and environmental standards.
Leadership & Strategic Planning
Manage the Operations & Maintenance team in alignment with company objectives, providing leadership and guidance to plant engineers, safety officers, and operators.
Lead the factory relocation project, ensuring a seamless transition of operations, equipment, and personnel with minimal disruption to business continuity.
Prepare and manage departmental budgets and optimize manpower utilization and resource allocation while controlling operating costs.
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental disciplines.
Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience within a process industry, waste recycling plant, or renewable energy facility.
Prior experience working with biomass boiler power plants or within the waste management industry is an added advantage.
Proven track record in plant optimisation, regulatory compliance, and logistics/fleet operations.
Experience in coordinating large-scale industrial projects, facility relocations, or major plant upgrades is highly advantageous.
Strong understanding of plant operations, workplace safety and health (WSH) protocols, and local regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse technical and operational team.
