Technical Support Officer (Outdoor and Adventure Learning) - North - #1166344

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Outdoor & Adventure Learning Technical Support Officer to support the daily operations of the Adventure Learning Centre (ALC) and Xperiential Learning Centre (XLC). This role supports the smooth execution of outdoor and experiential learning programmes by providing technical, logistical, and operational assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations at ALC and XLC to ensure activities and programmes run smoothly

• Operate, maintain, and ensure the safety, readiness, and usability of outdoor and adventure learning equipment

• Provide logistical and technical support during outdoor learning activities, programmes, and events

• Work closely with lecturers and trainers during programme delivery

• Adhere strictly to Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS) standards and procedures

• Assist with administrative tasks, documentation, and procurement related to equipment and centre operations

Requirements

• Diploma in Outdoor & Adventure Learning disciplines
  OR

• Diploma with at least 1 year of relevant working experience

• Certifications in outdoor or adventure‑based activities (e.g. rock climbing, kayaking, first aid) are advantageous

• Experience managing a challenge ropes course would be an added benefit

• Experience facilitating leadership or team‑building programmes would be an added benefit
