About the role

The Sales Engineer role combines technical expertise with customer relationship management to drive sales of Micro-Mechanics products. You will develop deep technical knowledge of in-house manufacturing processes, product features, benefits and materials, while building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers. This position requires understanding customer business models, operational needs and pain points, and serving as the primary point of contact for customized solutions and inquiries regarding product specifications and applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop technical knowledge of in-house manufacturing processes, products features, benefits and materials to effectively promote Micro-Mechanics products

  • Stay updated on industry advancements and product innovations to remain competitive in the market

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers by understanding their business model, operational needs and pain points

  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers, offering customized solutions and addressing inquiries regarding product specifications, applications, and sales related matters in a timely and professional manner

  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout entire sales process by proactively following up and addressing concerns promptly

  • Act as an escalation point for any complex or unresolved customer inquiries or quality issues, ensuring that issues are promptly addressed and resolved at the managerial level

  • Collaborate with sales team to implement sales strategies aimed at meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Identify new business opportunities, conduct market research and assess competitors' offerings

  • Lead contract negotiations and manage end-to-end sales cycle, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company objectives

  • Conduct product presentations and meetings with customers to showcase Micro-Mechanics' offerings

  • Work with internal team to customize presentations to address customer-specific challenges, ensuring clarity on the advantages and benefits of offered solutions

  • Participate in product development process by providing feedback from customers on design, functionality, and performance to improve product offerings

  • Regularly update on market trends, customer feedback, and sales performance through weekly and monthly reports

  • Track and analyse sales data to identify patterns, opportunities for improvement, and areas requiring attention

About you

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

  • 3–5 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Field Application Engineer, or Technical Sales role, preferably in manufacturing, semiconductor, or industrial environments

  • Previous experience or familiarity with semiconductor or precision manufacturing industries is highly preferred

  • Hands-on experience supporting the end-to-end sales cycle, including customer engagement, technical proposal support, and contract negotiation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers at all levels, build rapport, understand customer's needs, and deliver sales presentations

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills to assess customer needs, provide technical solutions, and troubleshoot challenges

  • Willingness to travel to meet with customers, attend industry events and internal business development activities

  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate urgent requests and customer schedule in different time zones

  • Proactive and customer-focused attitude, with commitment to build long-term partnerships and delivering exceptional service
