About the role

Mason Industries Pte Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in the West Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of our mechanical engineering projects. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they meet technical specifications, budgetary constraints, and timelines. This role is strategically important to our organisation as it directly impacts project success, client satisfaction, and our reputation within the engineering sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Planning, coordinating and managing mechanical engineering projects from initiation through to successful completion

2. Developing detailed project schedules, budgets and resource allocation plans

3. Liaising with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives

4. Monitoring project progress against key performance indicators and managing any deviations from the plan

5. Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation for accuracy and compliance

6. Managing procurement activities, vendor selection and contract negotiations for project materials and services

7. Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle

8. Preparing and presenting progress reports, budget forecasts and project documentation to senior management and clients

9. Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards on all project activities

10. Supporting the commissioning, testing and handover phases of mechanical systems and equipment
