About the role

As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery whilst adhering to strict quality and safety standards. This position is integral to our commitment to delivering high-quality products and maintaining operational excellence across our manufacturing processes.

What you'll be doing

1. Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment in accordance with operational procedures and safety guidelines

2. Perform routine maintenance checks and identify any mechanical issues or malfunctions that require attention

3. Conduct quality inspections on products during production to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements

4. Adjust machine settings and parameters to optimise production output and product quality

5. Keep detailed records of production runs, downtime, maintenance activities, and quality metrics

6. Troubleshoot equipment problems and liaise with maintenance teams when repairs are required

7. Assist in the setup and changeover of machinery for different production runs

8. Follow all health and safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment

9. Support the production team to meet daily and weekly output targets

10. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production area

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience operating industrial machinery and production equipment in a manufacturing environment

2. Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety procedures

3. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and production schedules

4. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and report equipment issues promptly

5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards

6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

7. Physical capability to perform manual tasks and work in a manufacturing environment

8. Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic

9. Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in machinery operation are preferred

10. Experience with predictive maintenance or continuous improvement initiatives would be advantageous
