About the role
This is a full-time position with weekend and part-time flexibility, offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced production environment. You will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production schedules are met whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is essential to the smooth functioning of our production facility and provides the foundation for career progression within our manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities
Operating and monitoring production machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety protocols
Assisting in the setup and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
Inspecting finished products for quality defects and ensuring they meet required specifications
Packaging, labelling and preparing products for shipment in an organised and timely manner
Maintaining a clean and organised work area, adhering to workplace health and safety standards
Recording production data and documenting any issues or concerns that arise during shifts
Supporting senior production staff with additional tasks as required to meet production targets
Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately
What we're looking for
Proven experience operating industrial machinery or working in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality standards consistently
Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items regularly
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
A proactive approach to health and safety, with a commitment to following all workplace protocols
Reliable and punctual attendance, with flexibility to work weekend and part-time schedules as required
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative production team
Basic mathematical skills for recording production data and measurements
Relevant certifications or training in machinery operation would be advantageous
