Head of Personal Training - #1165421
elyx health pte ltd
About Elyx
Elyx is a premium healthspan company combining AI-enabled technology and high-end concierge, with multidisciplinary specialties across science, medicine, physiology, nutrition, and supplementation. We exist to maximise each member's healthspan — the physiological foundation to live the life they want, at maximum health.
Elyx Life places technology at the centre of the membership, with human expertise built around it. A continuously running pipeline reasons across a member's biology, life, and behaviour — combined with the evolving science of healthspan — to produce a stream of predicted, tracked decisions. These are delivered through the concierge and member app, and, where useful, out to external specialists whose findings flow back in.
Elyx Medical provides the physician-led clinical foundation for this model, including diagnostics, medical review, preventive care, and safety oversight. Elyx Life then helps translate these insights into coordinated, evolving plans aligned with each member's long-term goals.
Role Summary
The Head of Personal Training is responsible for translating clinical and movement decisions into high-quality, measurable training outcomes for Elyx members. This is a senior role for an experienced Exercise Physiologist with at least an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science (or equivalent) who is equally strong in assessment, programming, and system execution.
The role sits at the intersection of medical insight, frontier science, movement strategy, and real-world coaching — ensuring that what is decided clinically is delivered precisely, consistently, and at a luxury standard.
Core Responsibilities
Own PT practice and its standard
Own PT end to end — manage, scale, and ensure the service quality of the internal and external network of Personal Trainers (PTs) and coaches, ensuring all training delivery meets Elyx's standards for quality, precision, safety, and member experience.
Build the coach network — recruit, develop, and manage internal and external coaches.
Enforce the delivery standard — ensure trainers deliver to the design and report every session on the platform.
Programming & Assessment
Prescribe the weekly protocol — design and oversee each client's training programmes, sessions, exercises, loads, and progressions.
Assess and set targets — run and oversee advanced assessment (strength profiling, movement screens, VO2 max) to set member-specific targets and refine programmes.
Continuous refinement — continuously refine programmes based on performance data, recovery metrics, and clinical feedback.
Integrate approach — include movement and exercise protocols that target healthspan outcomes beyond fitness itself — cognitive, organ, and metabolic health among them
Run the staff programme — design and run the internal PT programme for all Elyx employees, a proving ground for our methods and a benefit to the team.
Integrate clinically and partner with Product
Integrate with the clinicians and Head of Movement — translate clinical decisions into safe, effective training, and feed back on member progress, limits, and response.
Partner with Product — work with product team and technology to bring the practice (assessment, programming, delivery, and its data) onto the Elyx product and platform.
Programming alignment — ensure alignment between exercise programming, recovery protocols, and broader healthspan goals.
Productise the offering — help shape, and potentially productise, a standalone Elyx Life PT offering.
Trainer Management & Delivery
Stay in Practice — deliver training sessions regularly as a PT to stay sharp
Set operations standards — contribute to the development of a scalable Movement Practice by thoroughly documenting all established assessment, programming, and delivery processes.
Bring in new tech — scout and introduce the latest training, performance, and recovery technology.
Minimum Requirements
An undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, Sports Science, Exercise Physiology or similar.
Strong experience in physiological testing, performance assessment, and evidence-based programming.
Experience leading and developing a team of coaches or trainers, with the judgement to set and hold a quality standard.
The ability to think in systems — to turn a health objective into a structured, repeatable training framework, and to combine several of them into one coherent, periodised plan for an individual.
An empathetic and personable communicator who is detail-oriented, systems-minded, and capable of operating independently at a senior level.
Preferred Requirements
Certified Personal Trainer with an internationally recognised qualification and experience working with high-performance athletes or high-net-worth clients.
Postgraduate training in exercise physiology with evidence of research involvement or publications.
Experience and interest in the longevity or preventive care sector.
Familiarity with emerging and cutting edge modalities to support training and recovery.
Proven track record using adherence strategies (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, Decisional Balance Matrix, Behavioural Activation).
