Job Purpose

The Executive Engineer, Power will assist the Section Manager and be responsible for the operations and maintenance of all Power Equipment in compliance with Quality Objective as stated in the Quality Procedure/ Work Instructions/ Work Records to provide a safe & reliable train service to our commuters.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of an Executive Engineer are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

1. Assist the Section Manager in managing maintenance home-base daily activities, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of the following systems:

   1. 22kV AC Distribution System

   2. 750V DC Traction Power System

   3. 415V AC Service Power System

   4. Uninterruptable Power Supply System

2. Assist the Section Manager in conducting engineering analysis and investigation of faults in power systems.

3. Assist the Section Manager in providing technical advice to the assistant engineer and technical officer.

4. Lead in the recovery and rectification of power systems faults.

5. Carry out authorized 22kV switching & operation of SMRT 22kV AC Distribution System.

6. Undertake projects in power equipment modification/retro-fit, condition monitoring and procedure improvement for power maintenance branch.

7. Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of assigned work.

Qualifications and Work Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Relevant experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment

• Training will be provided for candidates without experience
