Our Speech Therapy Department provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for adult and pediatric swallowing, speech, language, and communication disorders, including voice, stuttering, and head/neck cancer care.
About the Role
You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties across a broad range of medical specialties, such as ENT, Oncology, Neurology, Plastic Surgery, Respiratory Medicine, and Paediatrics. This role is suited for an experienced clinician. You will also be expected to contribute to clinical leadership, service development, and departmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessment and management of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based intervention plans
Manage complex clinical cases within acute and outpatient settings
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care
Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Undertake delegated operational and administrative responsibilities
Mentor and supervise junior staff and contribute to staff development
Participate in service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives
Contribute to departmental and organisational goals through clinical and operational excellence
Essential Requirements
Bachelor of Speech Pathology OR Master of Science in Speech Pathology
Minimum 4–6 years of relevant clinical experience in a large acute hospital setting (more extensive experience required for Principal level)
Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse caseload across adult and/or pediatric populations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Experience in supervision, teaching, or leadership
Eligible for registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore
