Programme Coordinator (Airway) - #1164410

The Program Coordinator will be supporting patients with chronic breathing conditions (asthma, bronchiectasis, COPD) by providing education, counselling, and coordinating their care.

The main responsibilities consist of screening, planning, assessment and monitoring of patients’ admissions, conducting patient education and counselling, and training of other health care professionals. The incumbent will be required to participate in training and education programmes, and research activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inpatient/outpatient service with nurses and allied health professionals.

• Screening of referrals for smoking cessation program

• Train and perform portable spirometry

• Provide COPD, airway disease and smoking cessation counselling for patients

• Provides advice on the pharmacotherapy for smoking cessation

• Manage follow ups on patients

• Participates and coordinate research related to COPD/smoking cessation

Requirements

• Bachelor in Nursing with 2 years’ relevant work experience

• An experience in counselling patients with respiratory conditions would be advantageous

• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team consists of other healthcare professionals

• Having a Good Clinical Practice Certificate for clinical trials would be an advantage

• Valid registration with the Singapore Nursing Board
