Power Kids Gym is one of the pioneers in the children's recreational gymnastics industry. Our business has been operating for over 21 years.

We are now seeking an energetic, capable and people-focused Assistant Centre Manager to take charge of the day-to-day running of our gymnastics centre.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team alongside another Centre Manager, managing centre performance, creating excellent customer experiences, and working in an environment where children learn, grow and build confidence. Kindly note that this is a position where it is weekend intensive and we are looking for someone who is able to work weekends when scheduled. Do note that we operate a 5 day week (business operations are 7 days).

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing operations, supporting trainers, maintaining service standards, and ensuring that every child, parent and team member has a positive and meaningful experience.

Experience in children’s gymnastics or early childhood movement programmes will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Centre Operations and Business Performance. This is a business development role and we do require someone who is able to think out of the box and be responsible for driving revenues.

Manage the daily operations of the centre to ensure smooth, efficient and professional service delivery.

Develop and execute plans to help the centre achieve enrolment, revenue, retention and operational goals.

Review centre performance regularly, including class attendance, customer feedback, sales results, staffing levels and operating costs.

Identify areas for improvement and recommend practical solutions to strengthen centre performance.

Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure parents and children receive a welcoming, consistent and positive experience.

Oversee class scheduling, resource allocation, staff deployment and centre readiness.

Monitor expenses, manage budgets responsibly and ensure resources are used effectively.

Support marketing, sales and customer engagement efforts to improve enrolment and class occupancy.

Gymnastics Programme and Coaching Support

Previous experience coaching or managing gymnastics programmes for children is preferred.

Support the delivery of safe, engaging and age-appropriate classes and camps for children, from toddlers to pre-teens.

Understand basic gymnastics development, skill progression and class structure for young learners.

Provide guidance to coaches to ensure lessons are conducted safely, confidently and in line with programme expectations.

Assist in training, mentoring and developing junior coaches, trainee coaches and new team members.

Observe classes, provide constructive feedback and help maintain coaching quality across the centre.

Ensure all activities are conducted with proper safety awareness, child supervision and care.

Team Leadership and Staff Development

Lead the team with professionalism, positivity and accountability.

Create a supportive working culture where team members feel motivated, respected and clear about expectations.

Conduct regular check-ins, performance discussions and feedback sessions with team members.

Identify staff strengths, development areas and growth potential.

Support training plans and career development for team members.

Manage staffing matters professionally, including attendance, scheduling, performance, conduct and administrative requirements.

Handle workplace challenges and conflict calmly, fairly and respectfully.

Ensure all team members follow company policies, operational procedures, safety rules and regulatory requirements.

Take responsibility for the overall safety, well-being and morale of staff and students within the centre.

Preferred Experience

Experience managing a children’s activity centre, enrichment centre, sports facility, education centre or similar environment.

Background in gymnastics, movement education, physical education, early childhood sports or children’s coaching.

Experience leading or supervising coaches, instructors or customer service teams.

Ability to manage classes, parents, staff and centre operations in a fast-paced setting.
