Finance Executive/Senior Finance Executive - #1163811

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Finance Executive/Senior Finance Executive to support daily finance operations for our e-commerce business. The role will be responsible for managing customer collections, supplier payments, marketplace reconciliations, and ensuring accurate accounting records in Xero.

Responsibilities

(1) Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Prepare and issue invoices, debit notes and credit notes accurately and timely.

• Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue collections.

• Record and allocate receipts against customer invoices.

• Perform customer statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain AR aging reports and support monthly closing activities.

(2) Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process supplier invoices and employee reimbursement claims.

• Verify invoice accuracy and supporting documents before posting.

• Prepare weekly payment schedules and execute bank payments.

• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding items.

• Liaise with vendors regarding payment status and invoice issues.

(3) E-commerce & Marketplace Reconciliation

• Perform reconciliation of Shopee, Lazada and other marketplace settlement reports.

• Verify platform fees, vouchers, commissions and shipping charges.

• Reconcile net settlement proceeds to bank receipts.

• Investigate discrepancies between platform reports and accounting records.

(4) General Accounting Support

• Assist in month-end closing activities.

• Prepare supporting schedules for audit and statutory reporting.

• Maintain accounting records in Xero.

• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

• Assist in ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant AR/AP experience.

• Experience using accounting software (Xero experience preferred).

• Good Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas).

• Experience in e-commerce, retail or trading industries is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to read, write and communicate in Chinese to liaise effectively with Chinese-speaking stakeholders, headquarters, vendors.

• Positive attitude with willingness to learn.

Preferred Experience

• Experience handling Shopee, Lazada or other online marketplace reconciliations.

• Familiarity with Singapore GST requirements.

• Experience supporting month-end closing.
