Assistant Project Engineer (Building Construction) - #1163655

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Engineers in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities to ensure smooth site operations
• Monitor daily site activities and report progress, delays, and issues to the project team
• Supervise site works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions under senior guidance
• Coordinate material deliveries, site inspections, testing requirements, and subcontractor activities
• Maintain accurate project documentation including site records, reports, inspections, and as-built drawings
• Resolve site coordination and technical issues by liaising with stakeholders and escalating when required
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and project safety requirements
• Attend meetings and prepare minutes to support project communication and coordination
• Support commissioning, testing, inspection, and handover activities for project completion
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support project delivery objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or related discipline
• 1–3 years of experience in building construction projects
• Experience in commercial, residential, A&A, institutional, or mixed-use projects is an added advantage
• Knowledge of construction methods, site coordination, and project execution processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
• Familiarity with local building regulations, authority requirements, and WSH standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools; AutoCAD or BIM knowledge is an added advantage
