Senior Engineer-Permanent Way & Civil Structure - #1163521

Major Responsibilities

1. Support rail defect analysis, root cause investigations and engineering assessments to improve asset reliability and maintenance effectiveness.

2. Monitor rail condition trends, defect data and rail replacement programmes to identify opportunities for defect reduction and asset life optimisation.

3. Participate in the planning and review of preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure engineering recommendations are practical and effective.

4. Support engineering projects, technology evaluations and improvement initiatives related to rail infrastructure and maintenance practices.

5. Develop and maintain engineering reports, technical documentation, work instructions and risk assessments.

6. Participate in site inspections, audits, investigations and emergency recovery activities when required.

7. Support LTA, departmental and asset management projects related to rail reliability, safety and performance.

8. Perform any other duties assigned by the Team Head or superior.

Minimum Education / Qualifications

1. Recognised Degree in Engineering, or Diploma in Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant rail maintenance experience.

2. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

3. Prior experience in construction, railway maintenance or infrastructure maintenance will be an advantage.

4. Experience in leading or supervising maintenance teams will be an advantage.

5. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

6. Ability to prioritise resources and operational requirements effectively.

7. Good interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.

8. Self-motivated, resourceful and process-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.

9. Possess a growth mindset and willingness to continuously learn and develop.

10. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
