About the role

We are seeking a Finance Executive to join our finance team at our Jurong West location. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations and reporting functions of Singapore Poultry Hub Pte. Ltd. The Finance Executive will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day financial accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and contributing to the preparation of financial reports. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of our financial information and supporting informed business decision-making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

1. Recording and processing financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and company policies

2. Assisting with the preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts

3. Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations

4. Preparing financial statements and reports for management and stakeholder review

5. Verifying invoices, expenses, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance

6. Maintaining detailed financial records and ensuring proper documentation and filing systems

7. Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash management activities

8. Supporting internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations

9. Liaising with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and queries

10. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company procedures

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2. 0-2 years of experience in financial accounting, bookkeeping, or a related finance function

3. Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage spreadsheets and financial data effectively

4. Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards

5. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

6. Proficiency in both verbal and written English; knowledge of other languages is a plus

7. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

8. Reliable, conscientious, and committed to accuracy in all financial transactions and reporting

9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

10. Familiarity with payroll processing or accounts payable functions is desirable
