The Procurement Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, vendor evaluation, and delivery coordination. This role supports daily operational needs by ensuring timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices while meeting quality and technical requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, contribute to vendor performance management, and support procurement strategies in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Manage daily sourcing and purchasing activities for equipment, spare parts, goods, and services.
Oversee day-to-day procurement operations, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, deliveries, and shipment schedules.
Source, negotiate, and procure materials and services from both local and overseas vendors in line with company requirements.
Evaluate and analyse vendors' quotations to ensure compliance with technical specifications, commercial terms, and budget requirements.
Supervise purchasing functions and ensure procurement processes are executed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Resolve supply, quality, service, delivery, and invoicing issues with vendors to minimise operational disruptions.
Maintain accurate procurement records and update internal systems with order and supplier details.
Conduct market research to monitor pricing trends, supplier availability, and cost-saving opportunities.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, pricing, and service standards, ensuring alignment with organisational expectations.
Assist with ISO annual vendor performance reviews and compliance requirements.
Implement and support internal procurement strategies to meet urgent delivery schedules and short lead-time demands.
Prepare procurement reports and presentations for bi-monthly management meetings.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Head of Department (HOD).
Qualifications
Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
At least 1 year of relevant procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
Good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
Other Information
Work Schedule: 5-day work week.
