Overview:
This role is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials, products, and services while optimizing cost, quality, and supplier performance. The incumbent will manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier sourcing and selection, contract negotiation, purchase order management, and supplier performance monitoring. The role also drives strategic procurement initiatives such as cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process improvement projects, while partnering with cross-functional teams to support operational requirements and new product introductions (NPI). In addition, the incumbent will monitor market trends and ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Job Description:
· Perform core Buyer activities, including processing requisitions, issuing, tracking, and managing purchase orders, maintaining accurate procurement records, and coordinating with suppliers on delivery schedules and service-related issues.
· Manage inventory levels and collaborate with planning, production, and quality teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and services for operations.
· Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers; develop strong supplier relationships and monitor performance, including quality, on-time delivery, and responsiveness.
· Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to secure optimal value while mitigating risks and protecting the company's interests.
· Support strategic procurement initiatives, including make-versus-buy analyses, cost-saving projects, supplier consolidation, and process improvement initiatives.
· Resolve supply disruptions, shortages, and non-conformances through root cause analysis and proactive supplier engagement.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Planning teams to align procurement activities with business priorities and support new product introductions (NPI).
· Monitor market trends, emerging suppliers, and pricing changes to support proactive sourcing and strategic decision-making.
· Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements across all procurement activities.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
· Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Experience in vendor management and supplier relationship management.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
