Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support the Airfreight Import/ Export Customer Service team to ensure staff effectively manage the full end-to-end import process.
Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day import/ Export activities encompassing shipment documentation, carrier coordination, customs compliance, billing, and job closure, while upholding service standards and established procedures.
Process Optimisation: Proactively identify operational inefficiencies, drive process improvements, and support initiatives aimed at enhancing overall workflow productivity.
Performance Management: Monitor team performance against SLAs and KPIs, deliver constructive feedback, and escalate issues to the Manager where necessary.
Customer Escalation Handling: Manage complex import/ Export -related customer enquiries and act as the first point of escalation for service-related concerns requiring senior intervention.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Airfreight Operations, Customs, and relevant internal departments to facilitate the seamless execution of import/ Export shipments.
Compliance & Governance: Support the development and enforcement of import/ export customer service policies, ensuring team adherence to internal procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Supervisory experience in airfreight import/ export customer service and billing.
Strong understanding of airfreight import/ export processes, documentation, and customs requirements.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to support operational improvements.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage team and customer interactions.
Ability to motivate staff and ensure consistent service quality.
