About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of Power Quality, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and Renewable Energy projects.

Reporting directly to the Deputy General Manager, you will be responsible for project execution, commercial performance, cost control, client relationship management, and business development. This role is ideal for a commercially driven Electrical Project Manager with strong experience in power systems, energy solutions, electrical EPC, or renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

• Lead end-to-end project planning, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, execution strategy, and risk management.

• Review technical documents, including construction drawings, Single-Line Diagrams (SLD), specifications, and project requirements.

• Develop project execution plans, method statements, work schedules, and resource plans.

• Identify project risks early and implement practical mitigation measures to ensure successful delivery.

Stakeholder & Site Management

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

• Lead project coordination meetings, manage action items, and ensure clear communication across all project parties.

• Oversee site activities to ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, within specifications, and to the required quality standards.

• Coordinate site logistics, manpower deployment, facilities planning, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Proactively resolve site issues, technical constraints, and operational challenges to prevent delays.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all project works comply with applicable safety regulations, statutory requirements, quality procedures, and project specifications.

• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety reviews.

• Review and approve subcontractors’ method statements and ensure compliance with required standards.

• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control, and project documentation.

Project Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor project progress, deliverables, milestones, risks, and issues against approved schedules.

• Prepare timely project reports and provide management with updates on progress, cost, risks, and performance.

• Maintain accurate project records, documentation, reporting systems, and correspondence.

• Ensure all project deliverables are completed within approved scope, timeline, and quality requirements.

Cost Control & Commercial Management

• Manage project budgets, costs, profitability, and financial performance.

• Monitor project costs against budget and implement cost-control measures where necessary.

• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations from both technical and commercial perspectives.

• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, final accounts, and supporting documentation on time.

• Manage contractual obligations, commercial risks, claims, negotiations, and dispute resolution matters.

Client Management & Business Development

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.

• Understand client requirements and provide suitable technical solutions and value-engineering proposals.

• Identify opportunities for additional works, scope enhancement, variation orders, and repeat business.

• Support tender and proposal activities by providing technical inputs, cost estimates, and project execution strategies.

• Contribute market feedback, customer insights, and business opportunities to support company growth.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of relevant project management experience in power systems, power quality, energy storage, renewable energy, electrical EPC, or related industries.

• Strong understanding of electrical project execution, including construction drawings, Single-Line Diagrams (SLD), site coordination, and commissioning activities.

• Proven experience in project cost control, budgeting, contract administration, claims, variation orders, and profitability management.

• Strong commercial acumen with a business development and client management mindset.
