We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead technical delivery across multiple concurrent projects. In this role, you will oversee engineering execution from design through commissioning, mentor junior engineers, and serve as the key technical bridge between project management and site operations.
You will bring deep knowledge in cryogenic systems, industrial gas, or process piping, paired with the ability to manage complexity and guide a team without losing sight of the details. This is a hands-on leadership role with genuine ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical delivery
Lead project execution across assigned projects from mobilization through to handover
Review and approve technical drawings, method statements, and material submittals
Conduct site inspections and resolve engineering issues on-site promptly
Ensure all work meets client specifications, industry standards, and local regulations (where applicable)
Manage and track project schedules, flagging risks to the Project Manager early
2. Team leadership and mentorship
Directly supervise and guide the Project Engineers on technical matters and professional development
Support and guidance of the site supervisor in planning daily site activities and resolving field-level issues
Conduct toolbox briefings and technical walkthroughs with the site team as needed
Actively transfer knowledge and document key processes to build team capability
3. Project coordination
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on technical queries
Attend project meetings and represent the engineering team in the absence of the Project Manager
Track material deliveries, equipment status, and installation progress across projects
Prepare and submit progress reports, site records, and technical documentation
4. Quality, safety, and compliance
Ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with the project's WSH plan
Identify and escalate non-conformances; implement corrective actions where required
Maintain accurate as-built records and project close-out documentation
Job Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in cryogenic systems, industrial piping, or process plant engineering
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and technical specifications
Experience managing or mentoring junior engineers
Strong communication skills. Able to engage clients and contractors professionally
Comfortable working across multiple concurrent projects with varying priorities
