About the role

We are seeking a Cook Assistant to join our kitchen team at Capital Human Resource Management Pte. Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the Central Region. As a Cook Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary operations, assisting our experienced chefs in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This position is essential to ensuring our guests receive exceptional dining experiences through efficient kitchen operations and quality food delivery.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting chefs in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping and portioning of vegetables, meats and other food items

2. Operating kitchen equipment and appliances under supervision, including ovens, grills, fryers and food processors

3. Following recipes and cooking instructions to prepare dishes to the required standard and specifications

4. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including regular cleaning and sanitisation of work surfaces, utensils and equipment

5. Managing food inventory, checking for quality and freshness, and assisting with stock rotation

6. Supporting food plating and presentation to ensure consistency and visual appeal

7. Adhering to all food safety regulations and hygiene protocols

8. Assisting with general kitchen duties as directed by the head chef or senior kitchen staff

9. Maintaining a safe working environment and reporting any hazards or issues to management

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, either as a Cook Assistant, Kitchen Hand or similar role

• Basic food preparation and cooking skills with an understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the supervision of experienced chefs

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staffFlexibility and willingness to adapt to changing kitchen demands and schedules

6 Days work, 10.30am - 8pm
