Job Description

EHS Duties

  • Coordinate EHS-related activities for Singapore Plant and liaise with HQ EHS / Compliance Department where necessary.

  • Coordinate and maintain risk assessment records for warehouse activities, waste handling, chemical handling, sample collection, loading/unloading, maintenance work, contractor work and emergency response activities.

  • Ensure safe work procedures and operational control procedures are available, communicated and updated when there are changes in process, activity, material or equipment.

  • Coordinate PPE assessment, annual PPE requisition, PPE inventory control, PPE issuance, PPE replacement and PPE inspection based on job risk assessment.

  • Maintain EHS training matrix covering induction, PPE, chemical safety, spill response, fire safety, emergency response, waste handling, loading/unloading safety, contractor safety and customer-site requirements.

  • Coordinate reporting, recording and follow-up of workplace incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, environmental spills and customer-site incidents.

  • Coordinate routine workplace inspections, 5S inspections, emergency equipment inspections and EHS compliance walkthroughs.

  • Maintain waste-related records for waste receipt, storage, transfer, disposal, consignment notes, contaminated waste disposal activities and downstream disposal evidence.

  • Coordinate and maintain records for NEA E-waste quarterly submission, TIWC monthly submission and other environmental reporting requirements.

  • Maintain hazardous substance records, chemical inventory, Safety Data Sheets, labelling records, storage compatibility checks and hazardous substance licence records.

  • Monitor EHS-related licence conditions and renewal status, including TIWC, GWDF, Class A, Hazardous Substances and other applicable permits.

  • Maintain a master schedule for mandatory inspections, servicing, testing, calibration and third-party fitness tests for applicable environmental and safety equipment.

  • Coordinate emergency preparedness records, including spill kit inspection, emergency shower/eyewash checklist, first aid kit monitoring, emergency contact list, fire drill and spill drill records.

  • Coordinate with building owner, appointed Fire Safety Manager, contractors or relevant parties on fire prevention and protection system records, fire drill, emergency plan and SCDF-related requirements where applicable.

  • Coordinate monitoring, inspection, servicing and follow-up for fire prevention and protection systems, including fire extinguishers, hose reel, hydrant, fire alarm, emergency lighting, exit signage, fire doors, fire evacuation route and other applicable fire safety equipment.

Management System / Compliance Responsibilities

  • Act as the Management Representative / Site Management System Representative for Singapore Plant for applicable management systems, including ISO, R2V3, TAPA, customer requirements, regulatory compliance and internal corporate requirements.

  • Coordinate, maintain and improve management system processes for Singapore Plant, including document control, record control, internal audit coordination and corrective action follow-up.

  • Maintain and control management system documents, including policies, procedures, SOPs, work instructions, forms, registers and external documents.

  • Ensure all management system records are compiled and maintained as evidence for internal audits, customer audits, certification audits and authority inspections.

  • Coordinate internal audits, ISO audits, R2V3 audits, TAPA audits, customer audits and certification audits, including audit preparation, audit arrangement, evidence compilation and follow-up actions.

  • Monitor audit findings, non-conformities, customer complaints, authority comments, EHS incidents, security incidents and improvement actions until effective closure.

  • Coordinate management review preparation, including compilation of data, agenda, minutes of meeting, action items and follow-up status.

  • Maintain the legal and other requirements register applicable to Singapore Plant, including NEA, MOM, SCDF, customer-specific requirements, licence conditions, certification requirements and TAPA requirements.

  • Monitor the status of licences, permits, statutory submissions and compliance obligations, including TIWC, GWDF, Class A, Hazardous Substances, NEA E-waste reporting and other applicable requirements.

  • Coordinate risk and opportunity assessment related to operations, environmental compliance, occupational safety and health, customer requirements, security and management system performance.

  • Liaise with HQ, authorities, auditors, contractors, customers and third-party service providers on EHS, environmental, management system and compliance matters.

  • Support implementation and maintenance of TAPA-related requirements, including visitor control, access control, key control, CCTV records, patrol records, seal control, incident reporting and facility security inspection.

  • Maintain records for approved vendors, contractors, service providers and downstream waste handlers, including licences, evaluation records and service reports.

  • Coordinate documentation and approval for changes involving process, equipment, facility layout, chemical use, waste type, licence condition, security arrangement or operational control.

  • Report management system performance to Top Management / HQ, including audit results, compliance status, objectives and targets, corrective actions, risks and opportunities, customer feedback and improvement needs.

  • Coordinate monthly internal compliance assessments for Singapore Plant, including monthly safety checklist, PPE issuance records, statutory records, audit readiness evidence and corrective action follow-up.

  • Compile and monitor findings raised from internal compliance assessments, workplace inspections, EHS checks, customer audits, ISO / R2V3 / TAPA audits and authority inspections until effective closure.


Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, Science, Quality Management, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in EHS, compliance, quality systems, or management systems administration.

  • Knowledge of ISO standards, environmental regulations, occupational safety requirements, and audit processes.

  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience in waste management, recycling, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial operations will be an advantage.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Singapore; Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs) are preferred.
