Air Freight Planning Manager | Project Cargo, Charter & Capital Equipment - #1162760

• Basic salary: $5000 to $7000 (depends on experience)

• Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 9am - 6.30pm

• Location: Changi, Alps Avenue (company transport provided)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan full/partial air charter solutions for oversized, heavy, and odd-sized capital equipment cargo.

• Prepare aircraft loading plans and work with airlines/load masters for review, revision, and final approval.

• Plan suitable ULDs, packaging materials, and cargo build-up requirements based on shipment dimensions and loading needs.

• Coordinate with warehouse operations to ensure cargo is built and loaded according to the approved load plan.

• Work closely with customer service and operations teams to manage schedule changes, shipment updates, and timely uplift.

• Optimize cargo loading to maximize payable load, improve space utilization, and reduce airline procurement costs.

• Provide guidance and training to freight and warehouse teams on handling odd-sized and capital equipment cargo.

• Resolve on-site loading issues when actual cargo dimensions differ from the packing list or planned requirements.

• Maintain proper records of discrepancies and feedback to support process improvement between shipper and company.

Requirements:

• Min. 5 years of relevant supervisory experience in the air freight, project cargo, charter, or logistics industry.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and coordinate cross-functional teams.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in time-sensitive operational situations.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, airlines, warehouse, and internal teams.

• Good time management, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
