Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) - #1162609

Job Purpose

The Field Service Engineer supports on-site installation of new equipment or systems at customer locations, including pre-installation assessments, physical setup, configuration, testing, and commissioning, while also ensuring proper functionality and customer training on the new system. He is also involved in post-sales activities for in/out of warranty tools, data analysis and technical meetings with stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Troubleshoots key technical issues at the component level

2. Creates methodologies and procedures as necessary

3. Anticipates and responds to fab issues

4. Drives corrective processes through the various functional groups in HQ or escalates as appropriate

5. Participates in customer meetings and escalations

6. Initiate projects to drive down costs or increase uptime

7. Provide trainings to customers in the operation and maintenance of system

8. To lead key project and handle key customers independently as needed

9. Any other ad-hoc duties / projects as assigned by Manager

Education & Experience

• Min. Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or any relevant engineering

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in maintaining wafer fab equipment, preferably with at least 2 years of previous experience on Etch equipment

Essential Attributes

• Must be willing and able to travel, both between regions and internationally. No visa issue travelling to any Schengen countries for business a must.

• Flexibility to work on shift/ overtime/ stand-by/ on-call/ holidays when required

• Demonstrated qualities of being pro-active, self-driven to complete tasks independently and on time, possess critical mindset to learn with high level of process analytical ability in fast-pace environment

• Able to work with the team to achieve Department and Company Goals

• Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred. Mandarin speaking ability is preferred to communicate with Chinese counterparts
