The Assistant Revenue Manager is responsible for supporting the revenue management function of Mövenpick Singapore and Mövenpick Living Singapore by driving pricing strategies, forecasting, inventory management, market analysis, and revenue reporting.
The Assistant Revenue Manager will focus on maximizing room revenue, occupancy, and profitability through data-driven decision making and effective yield management. The role will work closely with Reservations, Front Office, and the Sales & Marketing team to support the overall commercial objectives of the properties.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Management & Yield Strategy
· Monitor daily occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, booking pace, and pickup trends.
· Recommend pricing and inventory strategies to optimize revenue performance.
· Implement revenue controls including length-of-stay restrictions, room type management, and demand-based pricing.
· Monitor future demand periods and identify opportunities to maximize revenue.
· Support the execution of approved revenue management strategies.
Forecasting & Budgeting
· Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual revenue forecasts.
· Monitor forecast accuracy and recommend adjustments based on market conditions.
· Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and business plans.
· Analyse booking trends, wash factors, cancellations, and market demand patterns.
· Provide revenue insights and recommendations to management.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
· Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and rate shopping exercises.
· Monitor market trends, citywide events, and demand generators.
· Analyse market performance and identify revenue opportunities.
· Track competitor pricing, occupancy patterns, and promotional activities.
· Prepare market intelligence reports and recommendations.
Inventory Management
· Manage room inventory and availability in accordance with approved revenue strategies.
· Ensure room allocations, restrictions, and inventory controls are maintained accurately.
· Work closely with Reservations and Front Office teams to optimize room utilization.
· Identify opportunities to improve room mix performance and inventory efficiency.
Commercial & Pricing Support
· Support pricing decisions for corporate, wholesale, long-stay, and group business opportunities.
· Conduct profitability analysis for special projects and business opportunities.
· Participate in weekly revenue and commercial meetings.
· Provide analytical support for commercial decision-making.
Reporting & Systems
· Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports.
· Maintain revenue dashboards and performance tracking tools.
· Ensure the integrity and accuracy of revenue data.
· Support the administration of Opera Cloud, RMS, and related hotel systems.
· Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and revenue processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
· Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Experience
· Minimum 2 years of experience in Revenue Management, Revenue Analysis, Reservations, or a related hospitality discipline.
· Experience within an international hotel brand environment is an advantage.
· Pre-opening hotel experience will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong analytical and numerical skills.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Good understanding of hotel performance metrics including ADR, Occupancy, RevPAR, MPI, and RGI.
· Strong forecasting and reporting capabilities.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Good communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to interpret data and provide practical business recommendations.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
