Job Description :

The Plant Manager reports directly to the Head of Department (HOD) and Director.

All Production Managers are accountable for the following core performance areas:

1. Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for all plant personnel and machinery by maintaining full compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, conducting regular risk assessments, and enforcing strict safety standards and practices.

2. Availability: Maintain high availability and reliability of all plant and machinery through effective maintenance planning, timely repairs, and minimisation of unplanned downtime.

3. Productivity: Achieve targeted production output by optimising manpower, equipment utilisation, and operational processes, while continuously improving efficiency, yield, and quality.

The Plant Manager shall be responsible for the operations and performance of the company’s metal scrap processing facilities and associated equipment, including:

· 2000-ton Hydraulic Metal Shear Plant

· E-Waste Processing Plant

· Automatic Shredder Residue Recycling Plant (ASR)

· Metal Shredder Plant

Material Handling equipment / machinery in both plants:

· Excavators with grapple, shear, and magnet attachments

· Wheel loader(s), Forklifts

· Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team comprising engineers, operators and workers. Responsible for manpower planning, deployment, supervision, and development, while fostering a cohesive and performance-driven team culture.

· Oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with MOM’s WSH requirements, manage production schedules, and ensure all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.

· Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensure high equipment uptime, manage spare parts, and implement corrective actions based on failure analysis.

· Drive initiatives to improve productivity, yield, quality, and energy efficiency through process optimization and innovation. Control operational costs and optimize resource utilisation.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and inspectors.

The Plant Manager is expected to drive plant performance across all metal processing facilities with a strong focus on Safety, Availability, and Productivity (SAP), ensuring disciplined execution, high equipment reliability, and continuous operational improvement.

Job Requirements

· Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree (Electrical) or equivalent.

· At least 6 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position, with 3 years of team leader experience.

· Must have technical knowledge of hydraulic system, rotating parts, PLC systems, and conveyor belts.
