About Genie Education Hub

Genie Education Hub is looking for a passionate and engaging Part-Time Science Teacher to join our Yishun outlet. We are seeking someone who can teach students from Primary 4 Science up to Secondary 4 Science, with a clear teaching strength in either Physics or Chemistry.

We place strong emphasis on clear explanation, patience, and student engagement. Beyond strong Science knowledge, we are looking for teachers who can connect well with students, explain concepts in a relatable way, and help students gain confidence in Science.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Science classes from Primary 4 to Secondary 4

• Teach Primary Science and Secondary Science, depending on suitability

• Deliver lessons in a clear, engaging, and patient manner

• Explain Science concepts using simple, structured, and relatable examples

• Help students improve their understanding, answering techniques, and confidence in Science

• Guide students in using proper scientific keywords and explanation structures

• Create a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback where needed

• Review lesson materials before class

• Support students with questions and clarify misconceptions

Requirements

• Strong ability in Science

• Able to teach at least Primary Science and/or Secondary Science

• Must have a clear teaching strength in Physics or Chemistry

• Ability to teach upper secondary Science will be an advantage

• Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred

• University students, fresh graduates, and graduates are welcome to apply

• Strong communication skills and good student engagement

• Patient, responsible, and passionate about teaching

• Able to commit to regular weekly classes

• Able to work weekday evenings and/or weekends

• Able to travel to and teach at our Yishun outlet

Ideal Candidate

You enjoy teaching Science and are comfortable working with students of different learning abilities. You are able to break down difficult concepts clearly, explain ideas step by step, and make Science feel approachable and meaningful.

You are not just strong in Science, but also able to communicate well, build rapport with students, and make lessons effective and enjoyable.

Compensation

$40 – $60 per hour, depending on experience, teaching ability, level taught, and suitability for the role.

Teachers who are able to confidently teach upper secondary Physics or Chemistry may be considered for higher rates.
