Job Summary:
As the Sales Manager (Data Center), you will serve as the regional segment expert responsible for leading, developing, and executing commercial strategies to drive profitable growth within the data center market. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role focuses on uncovering and managing a robust project pipeline by building high-level relationships with key accounts, colocation end-users, consultants, and system integrators. You will leverage deep technical knowledge of power systems and power generation solutions to design strategic sales pitches, direct distribution channel strategies, and secure enterprise-level contract closures across the SEA region.
Job Description:
1. Business Development & Pipeline AccelerationAccount Acquisition: Identify, screen, and pursue complex data center infrastructure projects by establishing direct commercial relationships with key target accounts and executive decision-makers.
Sales Execution: Lead complex sales cycles from initial technical pitch to final commercial contract negotiation. Collaborate closely with local, regional, and global internal teams to secure high-value business deals.
Ecosystem Cultivation: Formulate and maintain strong strategic relationships with engineering consultants, infrastructure influencers, and engineering procurement contractors (EPCs).
Distribution Enablement: Partner with regional distribution networks and dealer frameworks to assess project involvement, establish winning quotation and pricing strategies, and provide front-line marketing and technical support.
Target Setting: Construct detailed budgetary forecasts, market analyses, and sales volume targets specifically tailored for the Southeast Asian data center infrastructure market.
Alliances & Platforms: Identify and qualify strategic technical alliances to expand the power systems product footprint; represent the brand at major trade shows, data center associations, and regional industry events.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary regional expert on backup power systems, power generation products, mission-critical integration, and evolving data center industry standards.
Content Collaboration: Partner with Marketing and Engineering teams to author, prepare, and present technical white papers, case studies, and application profiles for industry journals and technical conferences.
Data Governance: Maintain absolute data integrity within the corporate CRM system, tracking project pipelines, communication history, and revenue metrics. Provide structured market insights to senior leadership for data-driven corporate decision-making.
Requirements:
Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
Professional Tenure: Minimum 8 years of proven, progressive corporate sales experience directly within the power generation, industrial power systems, or mission-critical electrical infrastructure sectors.
Segment Expertise: Critical technical knowledge of the Data Center segment, including a comprehensive grasp of site-level power design, backup power configurations, and regional regulatory compliance standards.
Commercial Track Record: Demonstrated success across both direct enterprise sales and multi-tiered channel/distribution sales environments.
Executive Presence: Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to confidently engage and influence C-suite executives and external engineering consultants.
Analytical Capabilities: Adept at synthesizing raw sales and market data into actionable business plans and regional forecasts.
