Production Test Engineer - #1161261

About the role

The Production Test Engineer is responsible for supporting both new product development and mass production by developing, implementing, and sustaining robust production test solutions. This role ensures all products are thoroughly tested and fully compliant with design specifications and requirements. He/She will manage test development projects, collaborate closely with Design Engineers to achieve Design for Test (DFT) objectives, and ensure timely delivery within budget.

What you'll be doing

1. Define, establish and continuously improve production test processes for new products.

2. Design and develop test hardware, jigs and fixtures for parametric and functional test systems or any other requirement related to production test.

3. Work with external vendors on the fabrication and delivery of test jigs and fixtures.

4. Prepare, update and maintain clear and accurate test procedures and documentation.

5. Manage and maintain test hardware and equipment including periodic and ad-hoc calibration.

6. Analyze and investigate test failures to improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and overall test effectiveness. Design, develop and maintain test plans, procedures and equipment for the production of electronic devices

What we're looking for

1. A Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalence with at least 2 years working experience in design, test or manufacturing environment with test as the primary responsibility.

2. Diploma with at least 3 years relevant working experience may apply.

3. Strong understanding of RF testing principles and test equipment.

4. Good knowledge of electronic assembly processes.

5. Solid background in production control processes, data analysis /interpretation and correlation analysis.

6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English.

7. Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
