Job Description

Corporate Business Development Executive — Passenger Car Rental & Leasing

Vin's Automotive Group is hiring a Corporate Business Development Executive to grow our corporate passenger car rental and leasing business in Singapore.

This is a hunter role. You will own a new logo book — targeting companies across Singapore that need passenger cars for their executives, sales teams, and pool fleets.

You will sell long-term leasing, and operating leases of passenger vehicles to SME and corporate clients. Our fleet spans Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Seres, Dongfeng, and other makes — including a growing EV line-up that aligns with corporate sustainability goals.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys outbound prospecting, building corporate relationships, structuring multi-year deals, and closing recurring-revenue contracts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate Prospecting & Pipeline Building

  • Build and own a target account list of 200+ Singapore-based companies across priority verticals: professional services, MNCs, tech firms, consulting, finance, healthcare, F&B groups, retail chains, and family offices.

  • Generate outbound pipeline through cold outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, networking events, industry associations (SBF, SCCCI, AmCham, BritCham), and referrals.

  • Identify decision-makers — HR directors, admin managers, finance controllers, fleet coordinators, executive assistants, and procurement leads — and run multi-threaded sales cycles.

  • Maintain a healthy 90-day rolling pipeline in CRM, with clear stage-by-stage hygiene.

2. Solution Selling — Rental & Leasing

  • Understand corporate fleet needs: executive vehicles, staff pool cars, leases, replacement vehicles, project-based rentals, and event/roadshow vehicles.

  • Structure commercial proposals across long-term leasing (24–60 months), and operating leases with full maintenance, insurance, and replacement vehicle coverage.

  • Price deals competitively against incumbents like Lumens, Kinto, Tribecar long-term, GetGo Business, and bank-affiliated leasing arms.

  • Position Vin's structural advantages: in-house workshop, in-house insurance brokerage, in-house financing, and four captive vehicle sources that allow us to price below COE-inflated open market rates.

  • Sell EV options into corporate fleets — connecting client sustainability targets to VES Band A vehicles and the EEAI window before 31 December 2026.

3. Deal Closing & Contract Negotiation

  • Lead commercial negotiations — pricing, contract length, mileage caps, insurance excess, end-of-lease terms, and replacement vehicle SLAs.

  • Draft proposals and contracts in coordination with Rental & Leasing operations and Finance.

  • Close deals end-to-end: from first qualified meeting to signed contract and vehicle handover.

  • Manage renewals and upsells — the second contract is usually larger than the first, and existing accounts are a structural source of growth.

4. Account Management & Cross-Sell

  • Own the post-sale relationship for accounts you have closed — including quarterly business reviews, fleet utilisation reporting, and proactive renewal conversations.

  • Identify cross-sell opportunities into insurance brokerage, financing, and used car sales for staff/executives.

  • Resolve account issues quickly — accidents, claims, replacement vehicles, billing queries — by working with the right internal owner. You are the corporate client's relationship anchor.

5. Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

  • Track competitor pricing, fleet offerings, and corporate tender activity across the rental and leasing market.

  • Build a structured view of the Singapore corporate fleet market — which companies are due for fleet refresh, which contracts are coming up for renewal, and which incumbents are losing share.

  • Share market intelligence in weekly commercial reviews and feed back into Vin's pricing, product, and fleet acquisition strategy.

6. Reporting & Sales Discipline

  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast reporting in respond.io and Excel.

  • Hit weekly activity metrics outbound meetings booked, qualified opportunities, proposals issued, contracts closed.

  • Provide clear monthly reporting on bookings, revenue, pipeline coverage, and account health

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Automotive, or related field.

  • 2–4 years of B2B sales, business development, or corporate account management experience in Singapore.

  • Track record of outbound prospecting and closing new logo deals — not just managing an inbound book.

  • Comfortable with multi-month sales cycles and structured deal pursuit.

  • Strong commercial instincts able to read a customer, qualify quickly, and structure a deal that works for both sides.

  • Confident communicator with HR directors, finance controllers, admin leads, and C-suite stakeholders.

  • Comfortable with CRM hygiene, pipeline reporting, and weekly sales cadence.

  • Singapore market knowledge: companies, industry associations, networking circuits, and corporate buying behaviour.

  • Singapore Class 3 driving licence — you will need to do test drives and vehicle handovers.

Strong Advantage

  • You will stand out if you have experience in any of the following:

  • Corporate car rental, vehicle leasing, fleet management, or operating lease sales (Lumens, Kinto, Tribecar Business, GetGo Business, CDG Leasing, Hertz, Sixt, Avis, bank leasing arms, etc.).

  • B2B sales into HR, admin, finance, or procurement functions.

  • Insurance, financing, or other recurring-revenue B2B sales.

  • Selling sustainability or ESG-aligned solutions to corporates.

  • Existing corporate relationships in Singapore that you can activate from Day 1.

  • Working knowledge of COE, VES, EEAI, and Singapore vehicle tax mechanics.

  • Interest in cars, EVs, or mobility.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success is measured by recurring revenue you bring into Vin's, not just activity.

Success means:

  • You build a qualified pipeline of corporate accounts within the first 90 days.

  • You close your first signed rental or leasing contract within the first 4 months.

  • You hit a monthly bookings target agreed with the Head of Commercial.

  • You grow a renewable book — accounts you close stay with Vin's and expand over time.

  • You bring market intelligence back into the business that sharpens our pricing and fleet strategy.

  • You raise the commercial standard of how Vin's sells to corporate clients.

What You Will Work On

You may work on deals such as:

  • Executive vehicle leases for senior management at MNCs and growth-stage companies.

  • Multi-vehicle pool car contracts for consulting, professional services, and tech firms.

  • Leasing packages — typically 12–36 month terms with replacement and maintenance bundled in.

  • Short-term rentals for events, roadshows, product launches, and project-based corporate needs.

  • EV transition packages for corporates with sustainability commitments.

  • Renewals and expansions of existing corporate accounts.

  • Cross-sell of insurance brokerage and financing services into existing customers.

Working Hours

  • Based at Vin's headquarters.

  • 5.25-day work week: Monday to Friday (0845–1745) and alternate Saturdays (0845–1245). This applies company-wide with no exceptions.

  • Client-facing role — expect external meetings, site visits, and after-hours flexibility when corporate clients require it.

Salary Range

  • S$4,000 to S$6,000 base salary, depending on experience, book of relationships, and B2B sales track record.

  • Commission and incentive structure on top of base, paid against signed contracts and monthly bookings targets. Details discussed at offer stage.

  • For stronger candidates with existing corporate fleet relationships or proven leasing/rental sales track record, the base can be reviewed upward.

Why Join Vin's Automotive Group?

Vin's is a 30+ year integrated automotive group listed on SGX Catalist (Vin's Holdings Ltd, 386652). We operate across new car retail, used cars, rental and leasing, insurance brokerage, financing, and workshop services.

This role gives you exposure to:

  • A growing corporate fleet book in Singapore.

  • EV transition opportunities with VES Band A vehicles and EEAI savings before December 2026.

  • Cross-business-unit collaboration — rental, leasing, insurance, financing, used cars.

  • A structural cost advantage that lets you price competitively without margin pressure.

  • Real commercial outcomes — every deal you close shows up in group revenue.
