Electrical/ Project Engineer | $4k/ AWS & Bonus/ West - #1160408

About the role

We are seeking a talented Electrical/Project Engineer to join our team in the West Region. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $4,000 per month, plus AWS benefits and performance bonuses. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and project timelines. You will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality electrical solutions whilst managing project stakeholders and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. This position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in electrical systems design, implementation, and project management within a dynamic engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate electrical installation projects, including site work, inspection, system testing, turn-on, and licensing activities as instructed by the Project Manager.

• Monitor site progress to ensure work is done according to the project schedule, approved method statements, and required safety/codes of practice.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, resolve site issues, and obtain necessary approvals until project completion and handover.

• Support procurement work such as price checking, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating technical drawings and submissions.

• Plan and arrange manpower, materials, and equipment needed for projects such as power upgrading, tenancy renovation, and A&A works.

• Prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, including equipment details, installation information, and as-built drawings.

• Carry out inspection and testing of electrical systems to ensure they meet safety standards and regulatory requirements for commercial, retail, healthcare, and industrial buildings.

• Review technical drawings and documents for tenancy works, power upgrades, and Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) services.

• Handle CS3 endorsements, licensing renewals, inspection reports, and ECS building requirements.

• Plan and manage preventive maintenance works and coordinate shutdown maintenance for electrical systems.

• Assist in tendering, quotations, and project costing exercises.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Power, or Electronics Engineering.

• 2–3 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Construction Engineer or Project Engineer in related fields.

• Strong communication skills, able to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Responsible, proactive, and self-driven with good leadership qualities.

• Prior knowledge in Electrical Installation (EI) works is a plus.
