About the Role
We are partnering with our esteemed client in the Energy-related sector to appoint a visionary and commercially driven Vice President, Human Resources to lead its global people strategy. This is a rare opportunity to take on an impactful role, shaping the global HR function of a growing organisation while working closely with senior leadership to drive long-term success.
Based in Singapore, this role will work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to shape and drive a high-performing, globally integrated organisation as the business enters its next phase of growth and international expansion. It is a mid-size organisation with with global presence including in Asia, Middle East, Europe, US.
As the senior HR leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing a forward-looking HR strategy that aligns with business priorities, supports global expansion, and strengthens organisational capability. You will play a critical role in advising leadership on organisational design, workforce planning, and culture, while leading transformation and change initiatives to enable a scalable and agile operating model.
This role will also take ownership of building a robust global talent agenda, including leadership development, succession planning, and capability building across regions. You will be instrumental in shaping the company’s employer brand and ensuring the attraction and retention of high-calibre talent in competitive markets. In parallel, you will establish and enhance core HR frameworks such as performance management, employee engagement, and leadership effectiveness to foster a strong, performance-driven culture.
A key focus of the role will be to strengthen HR infrastructure and governance as the organisation scales. This includes standardising HR policies and processes across geographies, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and driving the adoption of HR systems and analytics to support data-driven decision-making. You will also oversee the global compensation and benefits strategy, ensuring it remains competitive and aligned with business performance and growth objectives.
As a leader, you will build and develop a high-performing HR team across regions, ensuring consistent execution of HR initiatives while balancing global alignment with local market needs. You will champion a strong and inclusive culture, enhancing employee experience and engagement across the organisation.
The ideal candidate brings proven experience in a senior HR leadership role within a global, scaling environment, with a strong track record in building HR frameworks and leading organisational transformation. You are a strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into execution, and a credible advisor to senior stakeholders.
Experience across multiple geographies and familiarity with the energy, engineering sectors will be advantageous.
Requirements
Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
At least 18-20 years of relevant experience, with exposure being a strategic advisor to the senior leadership team.
Prior track record in scaling up regional office based in Singapore will be an added advantage.
Strong working knowledge of the various countries Employment Act and HR best practices.
Strong commercial mind and business acumen, high level of initiative, attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to engage across all levels
