Key Responsibilities
Drive the application and integration of technologies across both new and existing Encapsys product platforms.
Enhance project outcomes through collaboration with external research institutions, customers, and strategic suppliers.
Partner closely with Manufacturing, R&D, and Product Health & Safety teams to identify opportunities for implementing emerging and enabling technologies within existing products and production processes.
Lead, execute, and support continuous improvement initiatives related to product development, process optimization, and procurement activities.
Establish and foster partnerships with researchers and the Global Analytical Team to develop innovative analytical methodologies.
Engage directly with customers to address quality concerns, establish new operational processes, and develop product specifications that align with customer expectations.
Travel periodically, both locally and internationally, to support projects and collaborate at partner facilities.
Provide technical assistance during equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
Collaborate with manufacturing and plant personnel to maintain a safe, efficient, and high-quality production environment.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability requirements while identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impact.
Support manufacturing operations during the introduction and scale-up of new products and processes.
Conduct chemical analyses on products, raw materials, and contaminants to support R&D, Marketing, Sales, Technical Services, and Manufacturing in product development, process troubleshooting, and material characterization.
Research, develop, validate, document, and implement analytical test methods using a variety of instrumentation, including but not limited to GC, GC-MS, and LC systems.
Work alongside R&D scientists and manufacturing teams to deploy analytical methods as required.
Assess and implement customer-specific and industry-standard testing methodologies to support new business opportunities.
Lead and facilitate analytical method transfers to the Tembusu manufacturing facility.
Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to analytical testing methods.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Strong background in chemistry, analytical sciences, or related disciplines.
Experience with analytical instrumentation such as GC, GC-MS, LC, and other laboratory techniques.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and process improvement capabilities.
Experience supporting manufacturing environments and new product development activities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
