Brief Summary:

As an Operator in the Spherical department, you will perform part optical components manufacturing process within specifications and meet quality standards and safety regulations.

Job Description:

• Measure concentricity by using Trioptics.

• Demonstrate competency in handling mechanical and optical checking (diameter, bevel, sag height, concentricity, wedge & read form error).

• Assist technician in equipment setup.

• Demonstrate understanding of usage of comparator and bevel check.

• Perform sag height measurement.

• Use micrometer and caliper appropriately.

• Perform manual lens cleaning.

• Demonstrate understanding for basic lens handling and scratch/dig standards.

• Perform measurement method for lens centre thickness.

• Maintain safety guidelines of workplace.

• Perform duties within cleanliness standards of workplace.

• Other duties as may be assigned.

• Comply with company regulations.

Qualifications Required:

• GCE 'O' Levels, Nitec/Higher Nitec, Diploma or equivalent

Skills & Abilities Required:

• Experience with handling and cleaning of optical components and/or contact blocks/plates

• Able to work in a manufacturing environment while adhering to safety protocols and proper use of PPE

• Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning solutions
