Finance Manager

Our client is looking for a finance professional to oversee financial operations, budgeting, and reporting, while ensuring strong governance and compliance. The role involves managing grants and funding, partnering with stakeholders to optimise financial performance, and leading a small team to drive operational efficiency and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring strong controls, accurate reporting, and effective budget management.

• Lead budgeting and forecasting, providing financial insights to support strategic decisions.

• Monitor financial performance and drive cost optimisation initiatives.

• Manage funding, ensuring proper utilisation, compliance with terms, and timely reporting/claims.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and audit requirements, including internal controls and risk management.

• Lead and develop team members, addressing operational issues and improving performance.

• Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide guidance on financial policies and processes.

• Drive process improvements and support system or change initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) with 5+ years of relevant experience.

• At least 2 years of leadership experience.

• Strong knowledge of accounting, compliance, and financial controls.

• Open to candidates with backgrounds in audit, financial analysis, or finance operations.

• Experience in fund management is a plus.

• Analytical, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficient in SAP and MS Office.
