The ESD Engineering group is dedicated to protecting Seagate’s products from electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage throughout the entire product life cycle by delivering best-in-class ESD management and services. The team continually advances its technical expertise, qualifies and monitors ESD controls to meet Seagate and ESDA standards, and proactively investigates and resolves significant ESD issues. By providing timely ESD services and remaining open to feedback from all stakeholders, the group ensures robust ESD compliance and ongoing improvement across operations.
About the role - you will:
Conduct ESD line certification, risk assessments, compliance verification, evaluations, and enforce ESD disciplinary controls.
Collaborate with front-line colleagues to resolve issues and achieve desired outcomes.
Perform data analysis to support ESD initiatives.
Prepare and present reports on results and identified issues.
Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of ESD control equipment and tools.
Serve as a consultant to ESD auditors and continuously enhance the team’s technical knowledge.
Ensure the ESD control system is maintained in accordance with Seagate’s policies and relevant industry standards.
About you:
Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proficient in electronic and electrical circuit analysis, including the use of measurement and analysis tools.
Skilled in electrostatic discharge measurement and control.
Competent in using computer software for data analysis and office productivity
Experienced in quality system auditing.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
Strong command of written and spoken English.
Eagerness to learn new skills and a commitment to continuous self-improvement.
Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering exemplary customer service.
Your experience includes:
Experience in manufacturing processes, particularly within the electronics or hard drive industry.
Skilled in equipment setup and maintenance.
Proficient in electrostatic discharge measurement and control.
Capable of conducting ESD material testing.
Experienced in quality control and quality system auditing.
