Job Coach - #1133428

The Job Coach plays a vital role in supporting residents with psychiatric disabilities in achieving vocational goals and fostering independence through meaningful employment. This position involves individualized coaching, job readiness training, and collaboration with mental health professionals to ensure that each resident receives tailored support aligned with their recovery plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ vocational interests, skills, and readiness for employment.

• Develop and implement individualized employment plans in coordination with clinical staff.

• Provide on-site job coaching, including training in workplace behaviours, communication, and task completion.

• Facilitate job search activities such as resume writing, interview preparation, and job applications.

• Build relationships with local employers to identify suitable job opportunities and advocate for residents.

• Monitor progress and provide ongoing support to help residents maintain employment.

• Develop, document, and update SOPs related to vocational services, job coaching protocols, and employer engagement strategies.

• Ensure SOPs align with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in psychiatric rehabilitation.

• Train staff on SOPs and monitor adherence to ensure service quality and consistency.

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to outcome tracking and reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, vocational rehabilitation, or related field (preferred).

• Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions or disabilities.

• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

• Familiarity with vocational rehabilitation principles and employment support strategies.

• Experience in SOP development or quality assurance is an asset.
