Engineering Manager (Ophthalmic Industry) - Mechanical / Automation - #1133276

MNC – Ophthalmic Industry

Basic Salary : $7000 - $8000 + AWS + VB  

5 day work week (Mon-Fri : 9am-6pm)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the engineering team to design, develop and implement innovative mechanical and automation solutions for our Ophthalmic products and manufacturing processes

• Identify, evaluate and implement new technologies, equipment and processes to improve efficiency, productivity and product quality

• Review equipment designs and processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality and R&D, to ensure engineering projects are aligned with business objectives

• Lead and take ownership of in-house and automation machines, including software development, covering concept development, design, budgeting, testing, commissioning, upgrades, and continuous improvement.

• Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team and production staff

• Ensure engineering operations comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and safety protocols

• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement

• Mentor and develop the engineering team to enhance their skills and capabilities

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer role

• Proven track record in leading and managing an engineering team to deliver complex projects on time and within budget

• Strong technical expertise in mechanical design, automation, project management and problem-solving

• Good knowledge of automation - Hands-on experience in automation machine design and PLC programming, with practical knowledge of machining processes including CNC, conventional milling, lathe, and grinding
