Key responsibilities – finance
· Oversee full-spectrum finance operations for Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines, including general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets and cash management, ensuring accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
· Prepare and review management accounts, regional consolidation and financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to support commercial and strategic decisions.
· Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for each entity and the consolidated region, monitoring performance against budget and highlighting risks and opportunities.
· Manage statutory reporting, tax computations and filings (corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding taxes and other local taxes) across all jurisdictions, liaising with external auditors and tax agents to meet deadlines.
· Develop, implement and continuously improve internal controls, finance policies and standard operating procedures to safeguard assets and ensure consistent practices across countries.
· Support business cases, pricing reviews, cost-saving initiatives and capital expenditure evaluations.
Key responsibilities – payroll and compliance
· Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments for all employees and compliance with local wage, overtime and benefit regulations.
· Ensure correct calculation, deduction, remittance and reporting of statutory contributions and payroll taxes in each country (e.g. CPF in Singapore, EPF/SOCSO in Malaysia, SSO in Thailand, BPJS in Indonesia, and SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG in the Philippines).
· Coordinate with teams to maintain accurate employee master data, manage changes (hires, terminations, promotions, variable pay).
· Implement and monitor payroll controls, reconciliations and segregation of duties, and support internal and external payroll-related audits.
· Ensure proper accounting for payroll expenses, accruals, provisions and related liabilities in each entity’s books and in the regional consolidation.
Systems
· Manage SAP, payroll and reporting systems, driving process automation, standardisation and data quality across all five countries.
· Support internal IT infrastructure, including file servers, email, Outlook, and remote access for entities outside Singapore.
Requirements
· Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Proven experience as an Finance Manager or in a similar role.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting requirements
· Proficiency with accounting software (SAP) and MS Excel.
· Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
· Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
