Role Purpose
To provide senior finance business partnering support to the Robotics, International, and China businesses as they scale in the next financial year. The role manages increasing complexity arising from reseller and partner-led growth, cross-border operations, multiple go-to-market models, and the establishment of the China office, ensuring robust financial oversight and enabling sustainable expansion. This role will report into the Group Financial Controller.
Scope of Responsibility
This role covers the combined finance scope for:
Robotics business
International partnerships across Southeast Asia
Set-up and ongoing operations of the China office, including R&D-related agreements
Lead or support any ad-hoc projects as delegated by GFC.
The scope and workload are expected to increase progressively as customer and partner activity grows.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Business Partnering
Act as the primary Finance Business Partner to the Robotics and International teams
Responsible for managing and driving financial and business analysis, budgeting and reporting processes to ensure the provision of timely, accurate and consistent determination of financial performance and integrity of the business.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for Robotics, International, and China portfolios.
Ensure finance processes, controls, and reporting scale with business growth and increasing complexity.
Supports long-term strategic operational planning to drive excellence in deployment of resources
Work together with internal teams to ensure compliance with tax and local regulations.
Commercial and Financial Advisory related to regional expansion
Provide financial and commercial advice on deal structuring, partner models, and growth initiatives into regional markets.
Advise on accounting treatment for reseller and partner agreements across the region.
Ensure appropriate revenue recognition, cost treatment, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Support cross-border agreements, including assessment of payment flows, intercompany arrangements, and funding structures.
Pro-actively oversee the annual year-end audits for the overseas entities.
Identify and manage tax implications arising from regional and international transactions, working with tax advisors where required.
Provide finance input on different go-to-market models (e.g. direct sales, reseller, distributor, partner-led).
Assess financial, accounting, and tax implications of each model to support informed business decisions.
Requirements
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; professional accounting qualification preferred.
Minimum 8–10 years’ relevant finance experience, with strong exposure to finance business partnering.
Strong knowledge of SAP functionalities.
In-depth IFRS knowledge, transfer pricing and cross border financial complexities.
Significant experience with executive-level consultations. Communicates in a clear, succinct, organized and convincing manner verbally and in writing
Proven ability to operate independently and collaboratively with stakeholders in a growing, complex environment.
