Our client, a well-known company is looking for candidates for the position of Purchase Executive.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Maintain and regularly update the database and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

• Manage supplier contacts and the person-in-charge list

• Update stock listings, including stock costs and selling prices

• Revise SOPs regarding purchasing, ordering, and internal delivery

• Collaborate with outlet managers to procure products and kitchen supplies

• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, quality, and terms

• Conduct market research to identify valuable products and potential suppliers

• Source alternative products when stock is unavailable

• Address product-related issues with suppliers regarding shipping and delivery

• Assist chefs with the ordering process

• Develop and implement an inventory tracking system to enhance stock control procedures

• Document daily deliveries and shipments for inventory updates

• Prepare necessary documents for stock takes and ensure proper procedures are followed

• Perform stock take checks and prepare analysis reports on inventory operations

• Communicate with outlet managers and the marketing department effectively

• Travel to outlets as required

• Undertake ad-hoc tasks assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS 

• Minimum diploma or equivalent qualification

• 1-3 years of purchasing experience in the food and beverage industry

• Ability to perform precise and efficient data entry and utilize systems effectively

• Prior experience in system implementation or data/system migration is advantageous

• Receptive to feedback and capable of quick learning
