Responsibility
Support and assist Head of DTL Safety & Security in the East Coast Integrated Depot (ECID) safety, security & fire safety matters
Be the person responsible for the safety, security matters and emergency responses of ECID
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to monitor compliance to existing safety procedures, legislations, regulations and code of practices.
Liaise with DTL Safety Lead to conduct safety programmes, as directed by Head of DTL Safety & Security.
Work with DTL Safety Lead to advise and guide on safety matters in the departments’ maintenance and operational activities as required.
Monitor safety compliance of work teams involved in hazardous work, such as working at heights, working in confined spaces, hot works, working with chemicals, etc.
Be part of the secretariat team for the DTL Senior Management Safety & Security Committee, as appropriate.
Be part of the secretariat team for the DTL WSH Committee.
Participate as a member of safety investigation, as assigned.
Assume and perform the duties of Fire Safety Manager (FSM) for ECID – DTL premise
Conduct bi-monthly internal security audit and random security inspections.
Liaise with DTL Security Lead Conduct security awareness programmes as directed by Head of DTL Safety & Security.
Work with DTL Security Lead to ensure the implementation of security measures to ensure effective access control at the ECID - DTL premises
Work with DTL Security Lead to monitor compliance to security regulations and code of practice at the premises and with regard VSS surveillance and reliability, access control, performance of security officers, FIDS, security lighting, etc.
Liaise with DTL Security Lead to manage and supervise the contracted security service provider to ensure professional delivery and performance of security duties
Investigate security incidents, as assigned.
Perform the role of DTL Safety & Security (SS) Duty Officer.
Perform role of DTL Crisis Management Room (CMR) operator.
Identify and mitigate hazards and risks in DTL premises and work activities within DTL premises.
Enforce safety compliance of all security officers working in DTL premises.
Requirements
Local Degree in recognize university
8 years of relevant experience and certification in safety and security
Certified MOM WSHO or a safety officer certified at level C
Preferably with PLRD Security Officer License
