Process Engineer (Joining & Heat Treatment) - #1132488

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science from a local or internationally recognized university

• At least 3 years experience engineering processes in related industry preferred

Our Client, a turbine specialist. And is inviting qualified candidates to fill the position as Process Engineer.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Industrialize joining processes such as brazing, welding, and heat treatment for turbine component repair

• Support qualification activities (First Piece Qualification (FPQ) / First Article Inspection (FAI) / Pilot Lot Qualification (PLQ)) and ensure documentation readiness for production

• Maintain process control plans, work instructions, and frozen parameters

• Monitor process performance through key metrics and implement corrective actions as needed

• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for joining and heat treatment issues

• Partner with Maintenance and Quality to sustain equipment calibration and qualification status

• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and improve first-pass yield

• Provide technical support and training to technicians to ensure safe and consistent operations

REQUIREMENTS: 

• A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science from a local or internationally recognised university

• At least 3 years experience engineering processes in related industry preferred

• Knowledge of repair of Gas Turbine components and Joining and Heat Treatment process will be advantageous

• Previous experience in repair of industrial gas, aero turbines or aeroderivative would be advantageous (but not essential)

• Experience in Lean Six sigma would be advantageous
