Outsourced Service Provider Planner - #1132372

Responsibilities:

1. OSP Demand & Order Planning

• Translate MPS / customer demand into OSP requirements and job releases

• Create and manage OSP work orders / subcontract POs

• Prioritise OSP jobs based on production and customer priorities

• Maintain clear visibility of all parts at vendors

2. Material & Kit Readiness for OSP

• Ensure components and kits are complete and available before dispatch to OSP

• Coordinate with:

  • Material Planners for component readiness

  • Warehouse / logistics for kit preparation and shipment

• Prevent partial kitting and rework loops

3. Subcontractor Capacity & Lead Time Management

• Understand subcontractor capabilities, constraints, and lead times

• Match OSP demand with available vendor capacity

• Highlight capacity risks early and propose load-balancing options

• Support dual-sourcing decisions where needed

4. OSP Order Tracking & Delivery Control

• Track all parts and assemblies at subcontractors

• Monitor WIP status, queue time, and turnaround time

• Ensure on-time return of OSP parts to meet production schedules

• Escalate any delays with clear recovery plans

5. Cost, Documentation & Compliance

• Coordinate pricing, quotations, and routing setup with Purchasing

• Ensure subcontract documentation is complete:

  • Routings

  • Certifications

  • Quality and regulatory requirements

• Work with Quality on NCRs, rework, and returns

6. Cross-Functional Communication

• Act as the primary communication bridge for OSP status between:

  • Production Planning

  • Master Planning

  • Purchasing

  • Warehouse / Logistics

  • Quality

• Provide clear OSP status dashboards for internal stakeholders

7. KPI & Performance Reporting

• Track and report:

  • OSP On-Time Delivery (to NTS need date)

  • OSP WIP ageing

  • Turnaround time vs standard lead time

  • Rework/repeat processing rates

• Support supplier performance reviews for key subcontractors

Requirements:

• 3–7 years’ experience in production planning, subcontracting coordination, or supply chain operations

• Experience working with outsourced processors / subcontract manufacturers

• Strong knowledge of MRP, routing, and subcontracting flows

• ERP proficiency (Navision or equivalent preferred)

• Strong coordination and follow-up discipline

• Able to manage multiple vendors and priorities simultaneously
